Beautiful 97 year old London barrow, which I'm lead to believe was built in 1910 when striping ready for painting, I found the initials nsc or nsg stamped on the underside in the wood I believe this could be the Cartwright that built it. the cart has been dry stored all it's life, apart from one wheel which has had two pieces of the wooden rim replaced, three new nut & bolts & about a dozen steel screws replaced with brass ones, the cart is original. I still have the steel ones they are like new which gives you some idea how well this dray has been preserved. the dray has recently been painted burgundy & Irish cream with gold scallops & lining. it has to be seen to be appreciated.
